Mandi Joubert, an integral part of CBC, clinched her inaugural National Masters Title this past weekend at Parkview Squash Centre in Johannesburg. Drawing over 100 players from across the nation, this esteemed tournament demanded Mandi’s utmost dedication as she navigated through six demanding matches in just four days.
Her triumph was resounding as she secured victory in the ladies 60-64 age category, beating Maryna Aucamp in a thrilling final showdown. Mandi’s squash journey is marked by a wealth of experience, having only begun at the tender age of 21. She has represented Northerns, Free State and the Griquas at a provincial level and is currently a regular starter in CBC’s 1st league ladies side.
When asked how she felt about her first National Master Title, Mandi explained she was nothing but humble and extremely happy and can’t wait for the next one! Her sights are now set on the forthcoming World Masters in August, to be held in the Netherlands, where she aspires to continue her winning streak. We at CBC are all super proud of you and are beyond happy you are part of the family!
